Mother Otter and Pups Lily Pond Illustration

A warm colored-pencil and ink illustration of a mother river otter floating on her back in a calm lily pond, cradling [two baby otters] on her belly. The adult otter is positioned on the left, facing the viewer with glossy dark eyes, a rounded black nose, pale whiskered muzzle, small ears, and dense brown fur rendered with thousands of fine crosshatched pencil strokes. The two pups nestle across her torso, looking forward with tiny paws resting on the mother's damp fur, with the right pup slightly more reclined. The mother's hind feet and tail drift toward the right edge, partly submerged, with one dark webbed foot breaking the surface. The pond features [9 visible lily pads] and [5 pink water lilies or buds]: a large open blossom in the lower-left foreground, another near upper center-right, a closed bud at upper right, and two small buds near the center. Soft natural daylight, subtle concentric ripples, blue-green water reflections, muted yellow-green lily pads, and delicate pastel pink petals with yellow stamen. Hand-drawn naturalist storybook aesthetic, visible textured watercolor paper grain, fine graphite and ink hatching, no text, no border.
