Lucian Freud Style Sports Oil Portrait

A textural fine-art sports portrait of [Cristiano Ronaldo] rendered as an authentic impasto oil painting on unstretched, unprimed Belgian linen canvas. **Subject & Pose** [Cristiano Ronaldo] sits forward on a worn wooden studio chair with faded green paint. His elbows rest on his knees, hands loosely clasped, gazing directly forward with an intense, confrontational, unposed presence. He wears an untucked [Portugal] scarlet national jersey with the number [7] visible in raised brushstrokes, and soccer socks with one slightly slouched. **Painting Technique & Flesh** Executed strictly in the raw, heavy impasto style of Lucian Freud using palette knives and hog-bristle brushes. Skin rendered as heavily worked, sculptural flesh with visible planes, bristle marks, and thick paint ridges. Shadows around eye sockets and contours in deep raw umber and burnt sienna without pure black; highlights in titanium white blended with warm yellow ochre. Realistic amber-brown irises rendered with fine glazes and sharp white catchlights. **Canvas & Background** The figure is painted directly onto raw, unprimed, undyed warm-cream Belgian linen. The rough weave, warp, and weft of the textile remain bare and visible around the figure, serving as the physical background. **Lighting** Directional north-facing studio window raking light from the upper left, casting micro-shadows across every raised ridge of impasto paint. **Typography** - At the bottom on the unpainted linen: hand-painted uppercase text reading "[RONALDO]" in broad, textured black brushstrokes with natural imperfections. - In the upper right corner on raw linen: the Japanese kanji "[肉体]" hand-painted in traditional black ink calligraphy.
