Bassorilievo Modulare in Blocchi di Legno

Modular carved wood block relief sculpture transforming the subject from the reference photo, strictly preserving the exact facial structure, proportions, expression, angle, and framing. Every element—face, hair, clothing, and background—is constructed from interlocking wooden blocks, rectangular beams, cylindrical dowels, and stacked sliced planks. High-density assemblage with tight packing and multi-layered depth, articulating facial contours and features through stepped dimensional relief rather than smooth surfaces. Hair flows as elongated carved wooden segments following natural movement. Material is authentic natural wood with visible grain, growth rings, knots, and a matte to semi-matte finish, with grain direction aligning with the form of each piece. Directional lighting emphasizes edge depth, layer separation, and tactile wood grain textures with crisp, cast shadows. Entirely wood construction; no smooth skin, paint, metal, or plastic.
