A 2x2 four-panel comic grid sequence. Style: [2000s Japanese Anime OVA style], retro cel-shaded aesthetic, cinematic grain, moody anime lighting. Setting: Late-night deserted city streets framed by towering skyscrapers, asphalt splattered with glossy black liquid, airborne dust, and flying sparks. Characters: - Character 1: High school girl with long black hair wearing a sailor uniform, sheathed katana hanging at her waist, crouching in a low cautious combat stance. - Character 2: High school girl with a blonde bob wearing a blazer uniform, standing behind her ally with one hand raised to activate her supernatural ability, tense expression. - Enemies: Black viscous fluid coalescing into fibrous, thread-like humanoid entities with vague facial features and unnaturally elongated limbs crawling along asphalt and walls. Panels: - Top-Left: Close-up of the asphalt ground soaked in black liquid, with swirling dust and drifting embers. - Top-Right: Medium shot of an amorphous fibrous humanoid rising awkwardly from a pool of black ooze, thread-like shadows dragging across the ground. - Bottom-Left: Low-angle wide shot showing dozens of shadow anomalies emerging from roads and concrete walls, encircling the two schoolgirls in the intersection. - Bottom-Right: Over-the-shoulder shot behind the two girls as the encroaching horde closes in; the black-haired girl grips her sword sheath while the blonde girl readies her magic.
